Frequently asked questions
What counts as a contributor?
A contributor is any engineer with a connected account (GitHub, GitLab, etc.) who has authored commits, pull requests, or code reviews in the last 90 days. Managers, executives, and read-only viewers who only access dashboards are free and do not count toward your contributor limit.
How do GitHub PR Check Runs work?
When a contributor opens or updates a pull request, Koalr automatically posts a deploy risk score as a GitHub Check Run. Every engineer sees their risk score directly in the PR before merging — no CI workflow changes required. On the Growth plan you get the score and signal breakdown. On Business, you also get AI-powered explanations of why the PR is risky and what to do about it.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades are prorated to the day. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your historical data is preserved for 90 days after a downgrade. You can export all your data at any time from Settings > Data Export.
Do you offer a free trial of paid plans?

Is there an annual discount?
Yes. Annual billing saves you 20%. Growth goes from $39 to $31/contributor/month and Business from $55 to $44/contributor/month.
